Web Developer

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Web Developer in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The role involves contributing to the maintenance and development of WordPress core updates and troubleshooting any issues that may occur. The successful candidate will be a part of our innovative team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities - Participate in WordPress core updates, ensuring smooth implementation and operation

• Troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise during or after updates
• Utilize PHP and WordPress skills to maintain and enhance website performance
• Collaborate with the team to develop effective solutions and improve website functionality
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the website remains current and competitive
• Regularly test website for usability and fix any bugs or issues
• Coordinate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
• Maintain a high level of code quality and follow best practices
• Support the continuous improvement of the website by suggesting and implementing new features and functionalities
• Proactively report progress, issues, and other relevant information to team lead or manager.

Requirements - Proficiency in PHP is required for this role.

• Demonstrated experience with WordPress is essential.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding of general web functions and standards.
• Knowledge of web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and API's is necessary.
• Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) is needed.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages is expected.
• Experience with planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units is required.
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications is vital.
• Degree in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen is essential.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
