Location: Fully Remote (All over USA)
Overview: We are seeking a skilled FileMaker Developer with a solid background in software development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming, software design patterns, and familiarity with CJIS-CT architecture standards. This role requires proficiency in FileMaker, MySQL, and a range of web development technologies across multiple operating systems.
Responsibilities - Develop software in compliance with CJIS-CT Architecture Standards and Methodologies.
- Acquire detailed knowledge of vendors? software and systems to troubleshoot, track, and resolve application and system-related issues.
- Document design and code structures following the Software Development Methodology (SDM).
- Design applications adhering to CJIS-CT Architecture Standards.
- Map application design components to Requirements Traceability Matrix.
- Conduct code and peer reviews of developed software.
- Develop and execute Unit Test plans.
- Participate in System Integration and User Acceptance test plans.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Release and Restoral/Recovery Plans.
- Support application version control, software libraries, and documentation.
- Load and migrate new software builds across environments.
- Identify and report defects using defect management tools.
- Design, execute, and maintain Performance test cases and scenarios.
- Develop performance test metrics and Test Summary Reports.
- Create Request for Service (RFS) tickets for DAS-BITS Help Desk as needed.
- Ensure compliance with SDM and assist with SDM compliance activities.
- Foster cooperation and coordination among Criminal Justice Stakeholders and Local Government agencies in Connecticut.
- Adhere to Connecticut Enterprise Architecture Technology Architecture (CTEATA), Global Justice Reference Architecture (JRA), National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), and other relevant criminal justice industry standards.
- Participate in application review activities to ensure compliance with CJIS-CT and CTEA-TA architecture.
- Provide technical consultation to agencies and programming assistance for vendor technology teams.
- Participate in Technical Review Board (TRB) design reviews.
- Contribute to Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the CJIS-CT Program Manager or Technical Code Development Manager.
Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience programming in 3rd generation languages.
- Proficiency in FileMaker, MySQL, JavaScript, PHP, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery.
- Experience with operating systems: Windows, Mac, Ubuntu.
- Familiarity with Postman, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CodeIgniter, LAMP stack, FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go, FileMaker Server.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering cooperation and coordination.
