Web Designer/Webmaster Responsibilities:
The US Army Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR) Communications and Outreach Programs Support Contract provides a range of skilled personnel who provide strategic communications, social marketing, and outreach support to ARD for the purpose of increasing the physical and psychological health, resilience, and performance of Soldiers, Families, and Department of the Army (DA) Civilians. This support also includes the development of strategic communications, social marketing, outreach, web, video, and social media content. Our team also supports engagements to include internal Army conferences, national conferences/workshops, and partnerships with Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD agencies in an effort to educate audiences about Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Prevention (SHARP), Suicide Prevention, Resilience, Personal Readiness, Alcohol & Substance Abuse. The Web Designer/Webmaster reports to the Project Manager. Additional specific responsibilities include: - Provide design, development, and user experience direction for the branch?s digital products.
- Maintain the DPRR?s cloud-hosted public website in coordination with the branch?s Government IT Specialist. This includes organizing, updating/posting information on DPRR?s public site, and reviewing/refreshing/updating the design at the Government?s request.
Web Designer/Webmaster Qualifications: - Minimum Required Education: Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in the information technology field.
- Minimum Experience and Skills:
- At least five (5) years' experience managing interactive, design and creative projects
- Expert understanding of web and mobile technologies (such as object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Objective-C and iOS). Experience with the latest web standards (such as HTML5 and CSS3). Extensive experience with server-side technologies (such as PHP, ASP.NET/VB). Expert understanding of web design and user interactions. Ability to communicate effectively with users, both internal and external, at all levels from the basic user to the executive leadership.
- Must possess Security+ Certification
- Desired Experience: Prior experience gained at Headquarters US Army G1, Resiliency Division or other U.S. Army service headquarters-level organization
- Applicants must successfully undergo a National Agency Check (NACI) background investigation. Applicants must be eligible to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be able to speak, write, and communicate clearly
- Must be able to travel to DPRR offices in Arlington, VA as necessary, estimated time spent on travel is 5%
- Must be a US Citizen
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct reports.
Compensation and Benefits: Specific compensation level will be dependent upon skills and experience, annual salary range is $90,000-$110,000. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401K with matching, and education benefits. This is a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exempt position.
Position Location:
Work will normally be performed at the employee?s home location with the possibility of occasional requirements to perform duties at the DPRR office in Arlington, VA.
