As an PHP Developer at The Citation Group, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of their web applications. Working within a dynamic team, you will be responsible for crafting innovative solutions, ensuring the performance and responsiveness of their systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable PHP-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain robust PHP-based web applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in PHP development, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, including concept, design, build, test, deploy, and support.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
- Experience with LAMP system administration
- Experience with AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, RDS, SES, SQS, CloudWatch
- Experience with TDD and BDD
- Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.) and content management systems.
- Database experience, preferably with MySQL or similar relational databases.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
