As an PHP Developer at The Citation Group, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of their web applications. Working within a dynamic team, you will be responsible for crafting innovative solutions, ensuring the performance and responsiveness of their systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable PHP-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust PHP-based web applications.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in PHP development, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, including concept, design, build, test, deploy, and support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
  • Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
  • Experience with LAMP system administration
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, RDS, SES, SQS, CloudWatch
  • Experience with TDD and BDD
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.) and content management systems.
  • Database experience, preferably with MySQL or similar relational databases.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
