Description

Role: Database Developer Location: Remote Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description The modernization of custom-built small public applications onto a common platform and framework for development. This effort will culminate in all applications listed being multi-factor-authentication (MFA) compliant, built upon and within FWS.gov?s Drupal/Acquia 10 platform, and leveraging a reusable and shared application development and deployment framework for future endeavors. Additional tasks to audit Drupal (FWS.gov main instance) on Acquia and search for cost and efficiency improvement should be front-loaded in the schedule and cost limited. These two additional efforts have 2 goals: First to provide FWS with clear actions to improve long-term costs and inefficiencies. Second, to provide the vendor with deeper context and knowledge of the ecosystem?s variables and structures. FWS does not desire for either of these efforts to be resource intensive but does require that the resources assigned to them are legitimate subject matter experts in the respective fields (Acquia/Drupal configuration and Search).

Required Roles & Skills - Database Developers have at least 7 years MySQL experience and 4 years MySQL on Acquia/Drupal.

  • The ability to effectively brief senior executives on project issues.
  • All resources/staff assigned must be U.S. Citizens and take DOI IT Security Training prior to starting on the project(s).
