SCAYLE Payments is a company driven by the passion to develop the best tech products. Currently, we are searching for an experienced & passionate Senior PHP Softwarecrafter (m/f/d) for our Payment Team.
The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain robust PHP applications within the payment lifecycle
- Work closely with legacy code, improving and refactoring to enhance scalability and maintainability.
- Ensure all code meets high-quality standards and adheres to best practices, contributing to a sustainable development pace
- Work with agile processes that are adapted to the team?s and project?s needs
- Exchange your knowledge with other developers and be part of our SCAYLE Payments Community
Who you are
- Minimum of 4 years experience with PHP or a comparable object-oriented language such as Java, Ruby, and C#.
- Furthermore, the willingness to work with PHP (We use PHP 8.3)
- Practical experience developing REST APIs
- Experience working with RDBMS such as MySQL / PostgreSQL
- Previous experience with git
- Experience in writing tests
- Self-motivated and responsible working
Nice to have
- Experience working with messaging systems like SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
- Experience in TDD
