Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled Freelance Web Developer with strong experience in WordPress and HTML. This role involves creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites to ensure they are functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly. Experience with design is a plus, as it will enhance the ability to deliver aesthetically pleasing and effective web solutions. As a freelancer, you will work independently to deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development:
• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes and plugins.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress installations, themes, and plugins.
• Optimize websites for performance, security, and SEO best practices.
• Manage website updates, backups, and overall site maintenance.
• HTML/CSS Development:
• Write clean, well-structured HTML and CSS code.
• Convert design mockups into responsive web pages.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Implement website designs and user interfaces based on design assets.
• Design (Optional but Preferred):
• Collaborate with clients or design teams to create visually appealing web pages.
• Apply design principles to enhance the usability and aesthetic quality of websites.
• Utilize design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) to create or refine web assets.
• General Duties:
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather and refine project requirements.
• Stay updated on web development and design trends and best practices.
• Assist with website migrations, integrations, and data management as needed.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients when required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin development.
• Proficiency in HTML, with a solid understanding of CSS and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with web development tools and best practices (e.g., version control, code editors).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with website optimization tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with SEO practices and tools.
• Experience in graphic design or web design, with proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
