PHP Software Engineer

(Fully Remote) - PHP Software Engineers, who have an interest around latest technology and best practices are wanted to become a big part of the product team within a Digital Film and Video company.

You?ll be joining a small and talented team to develop new features, maintain the existing system and help deliver two large scale new products due to kick off in 2025.

Working in a company who likes to give autonomy to their Engineers, you?ll be involved in a large migration project. An appreciation of agile methodology is imperative and you should be comfortable in this type of working environment. In practice, this means building products, working closely with other members of the development team including the product team, solving problems, peer reviewing code and writing unit tests.

Technical Overview (Training Given):

• Solid understanding of the complete PHP technology stack
• Object Oriented PHP within a Laravel environment
• Familiar with application security and scalability
• Understanding of Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, BDD etc..
• Working with GIT code releases (merging code, tagging, etc)
• Gitlab CI/CD
• SQL and databases knowledge
• Experience of working within a product environment
• Bonus points for any polyglot experience

The successful PHP Software Engineer will earn up to £60,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: fully remote, working, bonus, pension, training budget, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits.
