What We?re Looking For
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will blend hands-on development with strategic direction and team leadership. As a key player in a growing and stable agency, you will significantly contribute to both our clients? success and our own growth trajectory.
What You Will Do
- Develop modern, performant, and scalable WordPress and Statamic websites.
- Collaborate with clients and Fixel teammates, leading the overall technical vision and delivery of large-scale projects.
- Present technological solutions confidently to clients, leading demos, and driving discussions.
- Guide and mentor junior developers to enhance their technical and communication skills.
- Actively participate in the sales process by showcasing Fixel?s competencies to our more technically literate clients.
- Architect solutions during the sales and discovery phases that align with clients? needs and Fixel?s core competencies.
- Consistently document and create process/SOPs for core workflows.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
About You
- You have experience leading large-scale WordPress and Laravel projects.
- You have an eye for design and are meticulous with your front-end development.
- You are a leader who empowers your team by removing obstacles and facilitating their success.
- You are an intentional communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and engage confidently with technical clients.

Our Tech Stack
WordPress
- Block Editor with custom ACF-based blocks.
- Typically hosted on WP Engine/Flywheel or other managed WordPress hosts.
- Built using OOP principles.
Statamic
- Hosting on DigitalOcean/Hetzner, managed via Laravel Forge.
- Utilizing Laravel Livewire components.
Other Technologies
- Tailwind CSS
- Webpack (Laravel Mix) or Vite
- Alpine.js
- Git
- Deployment via DeployHQ or Forge deploy scripts
Nice to Haves
- Experience managing and setting up custom VPS server environments (DigitalOcean/Hetzner) and deployments via Laravel Forge.
- Basic understanding of optimizing server performance via PHP-FPM config, OPcache, etc.
- Experience building headless CMS sites with JavaScript-powered front ends (React or Vue.js).
- Experience in custom web applications and advanced Statamic functionality with Laravel.
- Experience with HubSpot forms and/or the HubSpot API.
- Experience working with WordPress VIP (we are a WPVIP agency partner).
- Based in the USA or Canada
Qualifications
- A strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in WordPress and Statamic development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
