Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a WordPress Developer Ambassador to join our team and work on building a partner website for Natter. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a high-quality, user-friendly website that represents our brand and enhances our partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress core development and a passion for creating exceptional responsive web experiences.
Skills:
1. WordPress Core & Theme Development
- PHP: Strong understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and custom functions for API integration and creating custom views.
- WordPress REST API: Familiarity with how to use and extend the WordPress REST API to fetch, manipulate, and display external data.
- Custom Post Types & Taxonomies: Ability to create new types of content and categories for organizing data from external APIs.
- Custom Fields: Use plugins like ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) or code custom fields to store API-related data.
2. JavaScript and REST API Integration
- JavaScript (ES6+): Essential for making API calls, handling async operations, and working with JSON data.
- Fetch API / Axios: Use JavaScript to fetch data from external REST APIs and manage HTTP requests/responses.
- AJAX in WordPress: For handling form submissions and dynamic content loading in WordPress.
3. Frontend Development for UI
- HTML5 & CSS3: For structuring and styling WordPress themes, forms, and data-driven views.
- CSS Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS to create responsive and visually appealing UIs.
- WordPress Page Builders: Tools like Elementor or WPBakery might also help for quickly setting up pages and integrating API data into the visual editor.
4. Form Development & API Integration
- Form Plugins: Experience with plugins like Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, or WPForms for creating forms that can trigger API requests.
