Role/Position: 4 Developers (conversion from VB6 to .net)
Location: Remote
Duration: 5-6 month contract
Interview Process ? 1 Video interview to Hire. Looking to interview this week and next as they would like to hire these candidates before end of the month. Working on exact days. Manager Call Notes - We are looking for contractors; the plan is to finish up the project by June 2024. However, for eligible for hire candidates they can be considered for future projects and even have the ability to convert to full time down the road.
- Focused on VB.NET and some VB6 experience (and migration).
- Moderate experience with legacy Visual Basic 6, ActiveX/COM; OLEDB/ADO database access.
- Understanding of XML, HTML; SQL databases and SQL query language.
- High level of experience VB.NET with some C#.NET desktop applications.
- Ideally have experience with VB6 to VB.NET application conversions.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git source control repositories and Visual Studio 2022 is a plus.
- Clear English communication skills are required.
- If someone is located in Tucson AZ that is a huge plus. (this is not required).
