Our client, Southern Communications Limited (part of Southern Communications Group) is a well-established and rapidly expanding company in the telecommunications industry, providing B2B and B2C solutions. Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for a friendly and approachable Junior PHP Developer (with a focus on Laravel) to join their busy team. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary, fast-growing company.
Junior PHP Developer (Laravel), the role: - Dealing with support tickets
- Debugging issues to optimize performance
- Optimizing code base and database queries
- Managing web application using PHP/Laravel
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Ensuring code quality through regular code reviews and documentation
Junior PHP Developer (Laravel), the person: - Previous, proven experience within a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Laravel
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript
- Familiar with Git and APIs (REST and SOAP)
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Curious and inquisitive
- Accountable
- Proactive with a ?can-do? attitude
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu as well as DevOps principles
- Experience of working with Agile principles
