PHP Development Team Lead ? Fully Remote, UK - £65k p.a. (max)

To apply you should have at least 2 years experience of team leading a development team and still have the ability to be hands-on with PHP development.

The team work in the iGaming space for a fast-growing company that has continued to grow organically since 2011.

Your application requirements:

  • Min 2 years experience of managing / team leading a Development Team
  • Experience in Backend development with PHP
  • An individual with a background in Backend Engineering who possesses leadership qualities.
  • A solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies and be able to guide and mentor the team in these areas.
  • Capable of efficiently balancing their daily workload between leadership responsibilities, development tasks, and Scrum rituals.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills driven, proactive & enthusiastic with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

Role responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, and continuously improving the team to ensure the right mix of skills and knowledge.
  • Directly managing the individuals within the team, setting KPIs, being accountable for their performance, job satisfaction, and career development planning.
  • Facilitating and driving the team?s timely and high-quality delivery to production, taking ownership of ensuring that the team meets commitments and expectations.
  • Cultivating a culture of ownership, collaboration, and a shared passion for delivering quality products.
  • Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather and/or share information relating to team activities.
