What We?re Looking For: MOD is looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our contractor team who is detail-oriented, motivated, organized, and excited to work with various clients in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with diverse front-end and back-end Development skills, primarily on customer-oriented WordPress websites.

Our HQ is in Austin, TX but this role may be remote. Responsibilities: - Creating responsive websites and pages from Figma files using HTML/CSS

Creating basic WordPress themes using WordPress? ?The Loop?, template structure, and conditional tags
Creating and working with WordPress? custom post types, custom taxonomies, custom fields, etc
Installing and configuring common WordPress plugins, such as Gravity Forms and Yoast SEO
General content administration of existing WordPress sites
Creation of landing pages optimized for performance
Providing continual IT support/maintenance for client requests
HTML email newsletters for cross-platform compatibility to be sent via Marketo, Sendgrid, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, etc. (understanding known issues with Outlook, Gmail, etc. and making tweaks for optimal display)
Maintaining & updating WordPress sites - handling plugin updates, new WordPress & PHP versions
Creation of Microsoft Outlook HTML email templates (.oft)

Must Haves: - Ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment
Experience building consumer-oriented websites with cross-browser compatibility
Ability to estimate timelines for upcoming and prospecting projects
Does not feel basic HTML projects are too small for them
Strong detail orientation for clean, annotated, and organized code
Excitement to work with a growing company
Availability on somewhat short notice; tasks can add up quickly with tight turnarounds from clients
Ability to write code that can be clearly understood & easily modified by other team members

Required Skills/Knowledge: - HTML/CSS

Knowledge of CSS frameworks (especially Bootstrap)
CSS Preprocessors (SCSS)
JavaScript
jQuery
WordPress
Basic git
Website performance optimizations
Graceful degradation for legacy browser support
Experience with the Advanced Custom Fields WordPress plugin
Email development (HTML & OFT email template development)
Working between staging and production environments

Good to Have: - Figma experience

Modern JavaScript frameworks
Understanding of SEO Concepts
Experience coding landing pages and emails for marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Pardot, and Marketo
Understanding of basic design principles
PHP/Laravel experience

Up to 20 hrs per week may be required. Job Type:Contractor
