We are seeking a Junior Web Developer with a strong foundation in front-end development and a desire to grow and learn within a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will work with senior developers, designers, and other stakeholders to create user-friendly, visually appealing websites and web applications that align with our brand?s mission. This is a contract position with the potential to go full time.
Responsibilities
- Theme Customization: Customize WordPress themes to align with company branding, provide the specific functionalities required for projects, and ensure the themes are responsive and user-friendly.
- Plugin Development & Customization: Design and develop custom plugins as well as modify existing plugins to extend their functionality based on business needs.
- LearnDash Management: Manage LearnDash for course creation and management, user enrollment, and progress tracking, ensuring smooth integration with necessary plugins. Oversee WooCommerce setups related to e-learning, ensuring seamless integration with course management and membership features.
- Custom Integrations: Build and maintain integrations between WordPress, WooCommerce, necessary plugins, and third-party platforms to streamline automation, subscription billing, and CRM workflows.
- Subscription Billing with WooCommerce: Migrate Stripe subscriptions into WooCommerce Subscriptions and manage recurring billing functionality, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
- Website Development: Develop and maintain responsive, scalable, and secure websites using WordPress, customizing as needed for e-learning platforms, membership sites, and e-commerce.
- Content Management: Regularly update website content (text, images, multimedia) to ensure information is current, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed and performance by implementing best practices such as caching, image optimization, and code minification.
- Troubleshooting & Bug Fixes: Identify and resolve issues related to themes, plugins, custom code, and website performance. Conduct regular site audits to catch and resolve bugs.
- Cross-browser Testing: Ensure consistent website functionality and user experience across multiple browsers and devices, fixing any layout or functionality issues.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing on all website features and custom functionalities prior to deployment, ensuring optimal user experience (UX) and performance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless integration between technical development and creative requirements.
- Feedback Integration: Work with stakeholders and team members to incorporate feedback and refine ongoing web projects for continuous improvement.
- Skill Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the WordPress ecosystem, including WooCommerce, LearnDash, native and third-party apps/plugins, and custom plugin development.
- Professional Growth: Attend webinars, workshops, and training sessions to further develop technical skills and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with WordPress, including themes, plugins, and the WordPress REST API.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce, LearnDash, BuddyBoss, and Groundhogg
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Preference given to those with startup environment experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
