Our Engineering team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, speed, and security of our Product. We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer whose ambitions match ours: to skyrocket technical skills to architect-level mastery. Experience & Domain Knowledge:
- Experience working in a product-led, fast-paced environment: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in a dynamic environment
- 3+ years of professional PHP development experience: Extensive experience with PHP, Laravel, and backend development technologies
- In-depth experience developing and maintaining scalable, secure backend applications: Proficient in creating APIs, handling authentication, managing database interactions, and integrating third-party services
- Ability to ensure clear documentation of created/modified functionality to enable team collaboration and knowledge transfer
Technical Skills: - Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel framework
- Experience with RESTful APIs and API integrations
- Proficiency in SQL, with a strong understanding of database design and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and testing frameworks to support an automated development lifecycle
Soft Skills: - Communication: Effective communication skills, especially with teams responsible for security, operations, and product
- Analytical thinking: Ability to tackle and investigate complicated problems and convert them to the task
- Adaptability to Rapid Changes: Demonstrated capability to adjust to quick technological shifts and evolving business requirements
- Ownership and Accountability: Readiness to take ownership of tasks, and issues as well as demonstrate accountability for the results and outcome
Nice to have: - Experience with Docker and containerization for development and deployment
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with performance optimization and security best practices
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deploying applications and services
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
