Web Designer
Description
A digital marketing leader is looking to onboard several Web Designers for a massive new project. This is a fast paced environment, where you will be responsible for supporting implementation and client support teams in creation of new homepages and enhancement of existing pages. The right candidates will have at least 2-3 years of experience in graphic design and coding, primarily with HTML, CSS, and jQuery. These are high visibility pages you will be creating - and the client wants them to be very dynamic.
A function of this position will be to partner not just with internal team members, but client stakeholders as well. You will have the opportunity and responsibility of advising clients on how to optimize pages for performance, user experience, and accessibility. This company does a great job of onboarding, providing an introductory training to help new hires acclimate to the environment and business objectives. These are remote, contract openings with the possibility of conversion to direct hire after 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize and create intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent web experiences
- Continually improve and optimize user experience for sites
- Collaborate in concept development and design ideation cross-functionally to help define a creative strategy
- Utilize HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap5 to code responsive webpage layouts and site templates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in web design
- 3+ years of work experience in web design
- Proficient in coding in HTML and CSS
- Intermediate to advances proficiency with Bootstrap / JavaScript / jQuery
- Knowledge of design concepts, including typography, color theory, layout, balance, hierarchy
- Familiarity with responsive design concepts
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
- Should have a Portfolio of work showcasing design fundamentals
