GAVL is a growing digital marketing agency that specializes in web design & development, search engine optimization, content writing, cinematic videography, and social media. We only work with law firms and our clients are spread out across the United States. We?re focused on helping law firms grow their business through effective digital marketing strategies.

As the WordPress Developer you will be primarily responsible developing and maintaining our clients websites, all custom built on WordPress. You are a quick and self-driven learner who enjoys a challenge, thinks outside the box, and is an excellent researcher. You can manage your time effectively and with minimal oversight. Most of all, you LOVE what you do and have a desire to be the best you can be.

Please note, we?re not looking for someone who uses page builders to make websites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing pixel-perfect WordPress themes for our clients in the legal industry
  • Optimizing website performance and their security
  • Collaborating with the design team to create functional and aesthetic websites
  • Management of all current client websites
  • WordPress core and plugin updates, theme updates, etc?
  • You will work hand-in-hand with the Lead WordPress Developer

Experience/Qualifications/Skills/Attributes:

  • 2+ year of experience in a creative agency environment
  • 2+ years of daily WordPress development experience
  • 2-4 year degree in related field
  • Understanding of web design, Adobe Creative Suite, and design/development collaboration
  • Strong front-end development skills, including knowledge and familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, SASS, PHP
  • Understanding of UX analysis/web reporting and data tracking, with familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and Google Search Console
  • Experience with WordPress hosting environments like WP Engine
  • Experience with managing domains and DNS
  • Experience with the Advanced Custom Fields plugin
  • Outstanding communication skills ? including oral, written, and presentation
  • Professional demeanor and dependable work ethic
  • Self-motivation, diligent attention-to-detail, and dedication to quality
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple ongoing assignments
  • Collaborative, honest, creative, results-driven, solution-oriented, and not afraid to experiment even if it means you may fail
  • Burning desire to learn and get better at your craft
  • You?re a fun person to be around!
  • You must have a working portfolio of WordPress websites you?ve worked on that are custom developed

Schedule: Full-time, 40-hour work week

Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000

Location: Remote - you must live in the USA
