GRV Media has a 22 year track record and is the largest independent sports news digital publisher in Europe. It has over 50 active websites (including brands such as BloodyElbow.com, F1oversteer.com and thetennisgazette.com), two popular YouTube channels and an Ad Tech monetisation business.
We are looking for a PHP Web Developer with WordPress and/or Laravel experience to provide support to our existing tech team and drive forward new solutions for our publisher and ad-ops teams.
The role will be multi-faceted and depending on experience will include; working as part of a team on our WordPress based web platform, supporting our inhouse and client websites with feature requests and developing and maintaining our content index and categorisation platform built in Laravel.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, detail orientated developer who writes well structured and supportable code. You will be a natural problem solver who is driven to learn new technologies. You will understand the need to fully QC your own code and are able to code check others' work. You will be expected to hit the ground running. Experience and confidence is key.

Main areas of responsibility:
? Working with the team to support our inhouse and client publishers
? Engage with CSM and publisher teams to add new tools and evaluate the success of changes to the platform
? Contribute to and improve internal tooling and processes
Key skills:
? Proficient in WordPress and/or Laravel and PHP with a desire to learn
? Experience of Natural Language tools or other similar generative AI technologies would be advantageous
? Comfortable working with JSON and integrating with 3rd party API?s
? Gulp, Node and Git
? Experience with Laravel Forge or server hosting technologies would be advantageous
? Keen to learn and progress
