Description

Bitpress is seeking a skilled Python/PHP Developer/Programmer with strong knowledge of AWS to join our dynamic team. As part of our development team, you will collaborate to define, design, and ship new features and functionalities for our SaaS products. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements into the application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Python/PHP applications.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices.
  • Integration of user-facing elements.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Integration with AWS

Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years experience.
  • Proficient in Python, PHP, and AWS with a good knowledge of their ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries for Python and PHP (such as SQLAlchemy, Doctrine, etc.).
  • Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Blade, etc.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with Audio and Video.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
