Your purposeAs an experienced front-end Website Developer your purpose is to develop high performance, accessible, HubSpot websites based on a provided design for our clients.

Responsibilities- Follow the Articulate process to deliver websites for our clients and make suggestions on improving it.

  • Seamlessly translate designs from Figma into user-friendly HubSpot themes, ensuring every detail from the designer's handover is accurately implemented.
  • Develop responsive HubSpot themes following the latest best practices, set up a staging environment and build website pages.
  • Write clear, organised comments and documentation for code and processes.
  • Run through QA checklists (pre-launch and post-launch), set up redirects and manage the website go live process.
  • Apply technical SEO best practices from the start of each project, helping websites achieve strong search visibility.
  • Understand what our clients do and what their goals are in order to translate those into both exceptional, functional and accessible websites.
  • Liaise with other departments, studio members and developers in order to deliver the best possible work.
  • Support in R&D projects, scoping projects and bring innovative solutions that are backed by solid research, which solve a client?s given challenge.
  • Perform site audits and build conversion-rate-optimisation recommendations that you are able to present to a given client using a strong rationale and backing up your recommendations by data.
  • Participate in client discussions and develop a rationale to back up your development decisions.

Skills- Advanced understanding of vanilla JavaScript, CSS (SCSS), HTML and VS Code (HubSpot, HubSpot CMS and HubL are a plus) demonstrated by tangible and modern Github repo examples (and live examples).

  • Working knowledge of Figma necessary for development. i.e. Extracting images in the right format, variables, font sizes, spacing/measurements etc.
  • Good understanding of performance optimisation techniques (especially core web vitals) to ensure high-performing, efficient websites.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles to create websites that look and perform well across all devices. (Demonstrated with portfolio examples)
  • Fundamental understanding of how design and development correlate and the ability to translate a design accurately based on the designer hand-over.
  • Understanding of GitHub (version control, branching, PR)
