Job Title: PowerBI developer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and data-driven decision-making support.

Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into Power BI visualizations.
Create interactive data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for efficient data transformation and analysis.
Develop and maintain ETL processes for integrating data from various sources such as SQL Server, Excel, Azure, and other data warehouses into Power BI.
Optimize Power BI reports for performance, ensuring fast load times and responsiveness, particularly for large datasets.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, report formatting, and performance optimization.
Create and manage security roles and data access levels in Power BI to ensure appropriate access control.
Publish and share Power BI reports with end-users and provide ongoing maintenance, including updates and changes based on user feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Power BI best practices and improve reporting capabilities across the organization.
Perform data quality checks and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in Power BI reports.
Stay up-to-date with Power BI features, tools, and best practices, including the latest updates in Power BI service and desktop applications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar data visualization role.
Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service for report and dashboard creation.
Solid experience in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data modeling and complex calculations.
Experience with Power Query for data transformation and data cleaning.
Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data.
Experience in data warehousing concepts and architecture.
Experience working with Azure or cloud-based data sources is a plus.
Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices to ensure effective storytelling with data.
Experience with Power BI security models, including role-based security and row-level security.
Knowledge of Power Automate for automating workflows and integrating with Power BI reports is a plus.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with business users and gather reporting requirements.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially related to Power BI performance and data issues.
Federal Experience is a plus.
Required Security clearance.
