Job Overview We are actively seeking a talented and experienced WooCommerce/WordPress Developer and Troubleshooter to join our dynamic remote team. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Your expertise will allow you to collaborate effectively with our team of designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver outstanding solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with the development team to strategize and implement new features and functionalities.
- Produce clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code.
- Conduct testing and debugging to ensure software operates flawlessly and meets performance expectations.
- Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot issues in critical situations, ensuring swift resolutions.
- Engage in continuous learning to remain updated on the latest technologies and best practices in software development.
- Assist in the maintenance and ongoing support of existing software products.
- Maintain effective communication with developers, project managers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in client meetings during the discovery phase to accurately capture requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation through GitHub and Jira.
- Escalate relevant issues to the Development Lead, Project Manager, or clients as necessary.
Required Skills - A minimum of 4 years of experience as a developer.
- At least 2 years of experience in creating, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress and/or WooCommerce Plugins and Themes.
- Strong backend development experience.
- Proficient in WooCommerce and solid knowledge of PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, webpack, and Git.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and web development technologies.
- Experience in software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Must be U.S.-based (candidates from New York are not being considered).
- Capability to work fully remote in a Cloud environment, with experience in GitHub, GitHub Codespaces, and Docker.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is a plus.
Qualifications - Proven experience in software application development.
- Experience with WooCommerce and Laravel is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.

Compensation And Benefits - Competitive pay ranging from \(40 to \)50 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.
