Position Overview:
Our partner is looking for an experienced API Developer - Fluency in German (C1) to enhance and optimize their backend systems. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in API development, especially REST APIs, and a strong understanding of backend technologies such as Go, PHP Laravel, and databases like PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB. The position involves working with cutting-edge tools like Kubernetes (not mandatory), Docker, and Go to build scalable, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize existing REST APIs (primarily in PHP Laravel)
- Plan and implement the migration from PHP to Go
- Utilize test-driven development (TDD) to ensure high-quality code
- Work with modern technologies, including RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and S3 Storage
- Collaborate on Kubernetes deployments and orchestrations (not mandatory requirement),
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI and Github Actions
- Contribute to the development of additional CLI tools
- Stay open to exploring and implementing new technologies for efficient solutions
Requirements:
- Fluency in German (C1)
- At least 3 years of experience in backend API development, particularly with REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of PHP Laravel, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and S3 Storage
- Experience with test-driven development and maintaining code quality
- Proficiency with shell scripting for CLI task automation
- Familiarity with Go or other relevant programming languages is a plus
- Experience with containerization with Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes
