Purpose

The purpose of a Senior Full Stack Developer focused on Magento 2 and Venia PWA is to design, develop, and maintain robust eCommerce solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences while leveraging cutting-edge technologies. This role combines deep expertise in Magento 2 backend development with proficiency in frontend technologies to implement the Magento PWA Studio and Venia storefront.

On the backend, the developer ensures smooth integrations with third-party systems, creates custom Magento modules, and optimizes performance and scalability. On the frontend, they work with modern frameworks like React to build a highly responsive, mobile-first, and interactive PWA experience that meets the demands of today?s shoppers.

Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring seamless communication between backend APIs and the PWA, maintaining consistent data flow and functionality trough the utilization of Graphql Their role includes mentoring team members, adhering to best practices, and staying up to date with advancements in Magento, PWA technologies, and industry standards to create future-proof, user-focused solutions aligned with business goals.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Web Application Storefront Development and Integration:

Design and implement reusable React components within the Venia PWA Studio framework, ensuring they are fully responsive across devices.
Integrate React components with Magento 2/Adobe Commerce backends using GraphQL and REST endpoints for seamless data flow and interactivity.
Ensure the storefront performs well by optimizing Graphql/API calls, reducing payload sizes, and enhancing rendering speeds.
Develop modular, reusable components tailored to specific business and design requirements within the Venia PWA framework.
Continuously improve the web application frontend to optimize performance, scalability, and security in line with industry standards.
Make high-level technical decisions and provide strategic input to projects.
Perform thorough code reviews and enforce best practices.
Designing and implementing custom Magento 2 modules to address unique business challenges.Design, develop, and maintain web applications, ensuring seamless integration with external POS and ERP systems to meet business needs.
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration of back-end functionality and overall system performance.
Work on developing and enhancing the Jola core framework to ensure efficient integration with various systems.

UI/UX Implementation and Optimization:

Responsive Design Implementation Develop user interfaces that adapt seamlessly to mobile devices, tablets, and desktops, ensuring consistent design and functionality across all screen sizes.
Cross-Browser Compatibility - Test and optimize UI components to function consistently and effectively across major browsers and platforms.
Optimize UI elements and assets for faster load times and smooth interactivity, using tools like Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools.
Implement intuitive and interactive features that enhance user engagement, focusing on usability and ease of navigation.
Implement and validate compliance features to ensure the application is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, and implement efficient user actions and events tracking and monitoring as well as error handling
Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance at a system level.

Magento Module Development:

Design, develop, and implement custom Magento modules to meet project requirements and ensure seamless integration with external systems and internal tools.
Improve existing Magento modules, optimizing them for performance, scalability, and compatibility with evolving technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Magento modules integrate smoothly with POS, ERP systems, and other third-party services.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Magento modules to ensure reliability, security, and efficient functionality across platforms.
Document the development process, including specifications, best practices, and integration steps, for future reference and team collaboration.

Venia Components Development:

Design and develop new Venia PWA components tailored to business requirements, ensuring scalability and reusability.
Seamlessly integrate Venia components with Magento 2/Adobe Commerce Page Builder to support dynamic and customizable content..
Adapt and extend Venia components to work efficiently with Magento 2 modules and third-party extensions..
Ensure components are built with scalability in mind, supporting future enhancements and business growth.
Optimize Venia components for performance and maintainability, adhering to best practices and team standards.

Solutions Testing, Code Standards, and Quality Assurance:

Write well-structured, readable, and reusable code that adheres to industry best practices and team coding standards.
Actively participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and consistency across the project.
Conduct thorough testing of solutions on Linux, Windows, and mobile devices to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.
Work closely with QA teams to identify, replicate, and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Implement unit tests and perform manual testing to validate features and maintain overall application stability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a React.js frontend developer or in a similar technical role, focusing on storefront development and web application integration.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a back-end developer or in a similar technical role, with a focus on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce development and web application integration.
Proven experience working in a collaborative team environment on similar projects, including integrating external systems and web services.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js and its concepts.
Familiarity with testing libraries Jestor React Testing Library
Deep understanding of React's performance optimizations
Expertise in HTML, XML, CSS, JS,, PHP, MySQL, AJAX, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building scalable web applications.
Advanced knowledge of Linux, with practical experience in using Linux-based systems for development and deployment.
Strong knowledge of Magento APIs (REST, GraphQL) for system integrations and custom endpoints.
Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8 and OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles.
Strong understanding of Redis, sessions, and caching strategies to improve application performance.
Proficient with modern CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and application deployment.
Knowledge of service workers and PWA.
Proficient in using GIT for version control, with a strong understanding of branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
Familiar with scalable architectures, micro-frontends, and integration with back-end services.
Extensive experience in API development and integrating Web services (SOAP and REST).
Hands-on experience with Unit, Integration, and Functional Testing to ensure the reliability and stability of code.
Strong, soft skills for leadership and effective communication.
Experience with AWS deployments, including configuring, managing, and scaling web applications on AWS infrastructure.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
Familiarity with deployment strategies for Magento applications.
