Job Type: Temp-To-Perm Position (Freelance)
Snyder Group is a forward-thinking marketing agency dedicated to delivering impactful digital experiences. We?re seeking an immediate position for a skilled and motivated Junior WordPress Developer to join our dynamic website development team. This position starts immediately with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining custom WordPress themes, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing web performance. If you?re eager to grow your skills, work on exciting projects, and collaborate with a talented team, we?d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Websites: Build and maintain responsive WordPress websites using custom themes and templates.
- Customize Themes: Adapt and enhance existing WordPress themes using PHP to meet specific project requirements.
- Optimize Performance: Ensure websites load quickly, function efficiently, and scale seamlessly.
- Collaborate on Projects: Work closely with the Director of Digital Projects and Client Leads to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Debug and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and compatibility.
- Create and Document Templates: Develop and maintain clear, well-documented WordPress templates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing and developing responsive and accessible websites using WordPress.
- Strong knowledge of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in PHP for back-end development and WordPress theme customization.
- Ability to translate wireframes and design layouts into functional, cross-browser-compatible websites.
- Familiarity with cross-platform and browser testing to ensure consistency.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Stripe, WooCommerce).
- Basic familiarity with design tools (e.g., Photoshop or Figma) for asset optimization.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for website development.
- Experience with HubSpot CMS development.
