Description
We are seeking a skilled MariaDB/MySQL Developer with expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our client, an MSP based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This part-time, fully remote position involves creating and implementing modifications within our database, with a particular focus on customer data, to enhance performance and functionality.
- Fully Remote
- Part-time; 10-15 hours per week
- Hours: Flexible, able to work mornings, afternoon, nights, weekends. Discord is used to communicate with leadership and discuss deliverables
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain database components using MariaDB/MySQL.
- Implement modifications and optimizations to improve database performance, specifically for customer data.
- Design and manage database schemas and structures for efficient customer data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate database solutions with PHP and Laravel applications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MariaDB/MySQL Developer.
- Proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework.
- Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database security practices, particularly for customer data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux infrastructure protocls
