What You'll Be Doing As a Senior Developer you'll work as an important member of Future's Platform Team, in close collaboration with the wider Technology & Engineering department. Your main aim being to ensure the delivery of scalable, well structured, efficient web applications and components; work on both green-field projects built from the ground up - using the latest libraries and best practice - and maintaining and improving existing code.
Reporting to the Tech Lead, you will oversee the planning of new software components, refactoring existing code and working with other teams to build new services and products. Working in collaboration with the Tech Leads and Engineers you will ensure your code is well scoped, monitored, documented, and testable. You will also trace bugs across the stack and ensuring that suitable tests are set up to avoid future regressions.
Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve - Record of delivering complex applications at scale
- Experience with object-oriented programming and related principles, such as SOLID
- You have experience with PHP and at least one other programming language (TypeScript or Go)
- You have experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- You have experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices
- You have experience creating and running containers
- You are Experienced in communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners technical information to non-technical people
- Attention to detail, which you can prove by mentioning your favourite animal in your cover letter
