On-demand PHP Developer (Embedded Software and IoT Experience)

US/UK hours
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile PHP Developer with experience in embedded software and user interface (UI) design, as well as Internet of Things (IoT) principles. This on-demand role (2 months on, 2 months off) is ideal for a professional looking to contribute expertise on a project-by-project basis while collaborating with a dynamic team focused on cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
PHP Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications tailored to embedded software and UI requirements.
Integrate backend services with front-end interfaces for seamless user experiences.
Embedded Software Development: Collaborate on the integration of PHP applications with embedded systems, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
Understand IoT and how the Internet of Things works particularly lighting.
Debug, optimize, and test embedded software to ensure stability and reliability.
UI Development: Develop user-centric interfaces using modern frameworks and technologies.
Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to implement intuitive and accessible UI designs.
Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, designers, and QA testers.
Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software and systems.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficient in PHP with experience in frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
Solid understanding of embedded software development, including integration with hardware.
Experience with modern UI technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js).
Familiarity with IAC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on PHP and embedded systems.
Proven track record of developing UI for embedded systems or similar applications.
Experience in agile development environments and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility and adaptability to work on-demand as project needs arise.
