Job Summary:
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Full Stack PHP Developer for a 1-year contract position at 0.5 FTE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Laravel, Vue, and SQL Server, as well as a strong background in working with legacy systems. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including support and maintenance of existing systems, developing new features, and creating demo applications. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our software solutions. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications using PHP, Laravel, Vue, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
- Design and implement new features and functionality, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, including legacy systems.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data through effective database management.
- Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration with other systems.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance, including server-side caching and database tuning.
- Implement security measures to protect data and applications.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing applications, addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PHP and experience with Laravel framework.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL Server and database management.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Collaboration: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Adaptability: Ability to work with legacy systems and adapt to new technologies.
Security Awareness: Knowledge of web security best practices.

We are a fully remote company, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or any location of your choice.
