Build the Future of Video/AI Technology as a Junior Developer at Panopto! Are you passionate about building impactful, scalable systems that impact millions of users? As a Junior Developer at Panopto you?ll play a crucial role in shaping Panopto?s industry-leading video creation and content management system. Whether your expertise is in Backend, UX, Cloud Services, or Platform & Integration you'll have the opportunity to work on a product that powers our video library, ensuring seamless performance for 10+ million users globally.
Our Junior Developers have the opportunity to develop and optimize the backend systems that support Panopto?s video players, editors, and mobile app interfaces or focus on architecting and implementing modern UI components using React to elevate the user experience across our platforms. Or design and refine scalable testing frameworks that ensure reliability and performance at a global scale, and contribute to meaningful work that shapes the future of video content management by building foundational technologies that empower developers and end users.

In this role, you will... Work You?ll Do: - Backend and Frontend Software Engineering: This position requires a mix of backend and frontend software engineering skills, drawing on experience coding and doing technical designs in high scale systems.
- Detail Oriented: Ideal candidates have an excellent attention to detail and desire to get to the bottom of how things work, a drive to take action and improve things where they can, a natural focus on ensuring an excellent customer experience, and a willingness to work across the technical stack to accomplish their goals.
- Software Development and Testing: carry out functional, load, stress, performance, security, unit and integration testing between the company?s applications, products, and services. simplify and streamline our ability to test and ensure the quality of our product, and to build foundational infrastructure that will empower the rest of the development team
- Automation: ensure the robustness of Panopto's automation initiatives before they can be distributed to internal and external clients. Perform end-to-end testing with automation. Monitor existing automation tests for failures, and maintain them as needed to ensure they are accurately reporting failures and successes
- Systems: Knowledge of coding and doing technical designs in high scale systems
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent amount of experience/training
- This is an early career position requiring 0-2 years experience
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, parallel or distributed systems
- Software engineering skills: componentization, automated testing, debugging, and coding/designing for fault tolerance
- Clear and concise communication skills
- A track record of, and passion for, transparency

Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 USD per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of the compensation package. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
