Since 2018, Goodgame Studios has been part of Stillfront Group AB, which is a group of independent developers, publishers and distributors of digital games - with a vision to become the leading group of game developers and publishers.

As a Freelance Fullstack Web Developer (all genders) with a passion for gaming you will work with our game developers, game designers, marketing and ad monetisation experts to empower our game production teams to deliver their work efficiently. You will rewrite legacy services from the ground up and provide new services to our players.

We are looking for a self-reliant generalist who thrives in diverse tech environments and can uncover and leverage organizational knowledge. If you understand what it means to work with legacy software and are not afraid to get your hands dirty across different stacks and frameworks, we want you on our team!

Your mission

Extend and maintain game integration to our internal payments platform and mobile stores
Work with the marketing team to future proof our heavily customized CMS for player-facing landing pages
Keep ad-tech integrations optimized for revenue and legal compliance
Work with game designers to give them the productivity tools they need and enable them to make no-code adjustments to live systems
Migrate or replace legacy services using AWS cloud-native patterns

Your backstory

Fullstack knowledge of JavaScript as a frontend and backend language (node.js)
Sufficient knowledge in PHP to replace it OR experience with upgrading across major PHP versions
Ability to self-reliantly work with unfamiliar systems and 3rd party frameworks
Fluent communication in English
