About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Lead Engineer to take ownership of backend development, DevOps, and cross-team coordination at AesirX. This role will serve as the technical bridge between our Frontend Team Leader and Web3 Leader, ensuring seamless collaboration and architectural alignment across all domains.

The ideal candidate has a strong backend and DevOps background, with experience in scalable infrastructure, API development, and system optimization. Additionally, knowledge of AI/LLMs and privacy-first technologies is a plus, as AesirX continues to integrate advanced AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. Backend Development & Infrastructure

• Maintain, optimize, and scale backend systems, ensuring high availability.
• Design and improve APIs, microservices, and backend logic.
• Work with modern backend frameworks to enhance system efficiency.

2. DevOps & Cloud Management

• Manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud resources.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability across deployments.
• Implement automation and monitoring for proactive infrastructure management.

3. Cross-Team Leadership & Coordination

• Serve as the technical liaison between the Frontend Team Leader and Web3 Lead.
• Ensure smooth collaboration and integration across teams.
• Guide best practices for software architecture, security, and maintainability.

4. Code Refactoring & Optimization

• Identify and refactor inefficiencies in existing codebases.
• Improve performance, maintainability, and scalability of backend solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews and mentoring for engineering team members.

5. Roadmap & Feature Planning

• Contribute to long-term technical strategy and feature planning.
• Assess new technologies, frameworks, and best practices for adoption.
• Work closely with leadership and Ronni to define the engineering roadmap.

Requirements & QualificationsMust-Have:

• 10+ years of experience in backend development (PHP, Node.js, Go, Python, or similar).
• Strong DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms).
• Experience with API design, microservices, and scalable system architecture.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate across teams.
• Strong knowledge of security, performance, and maintainability best practices.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Rust and modern backend technologies.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and other NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI/LLMs and their backend integration.
• Experience with Web3 technologies and blockchain.
• Understanding of privacy-first development and compliance.
