Frontend Developer Team Leader

Frontend Developer (React) Team Leader- Remote (once a quarter meetups)- 60-70k

You?ll lead a team of five React developers working on high-traffic, high-visibility products used by millions. It's hands-on, technically stretching, and you'll play a big part in shaping both product direction and engineering culture.

You?ll mentor, coach, and bring your ideas to the forefront. No micromanagement. No red tape. Just autonomy, trust, and the chance to make a real impact.

The development team?s small but moves fast. You'll collaborate with a switched-on Head of Development and be key to how the frontend evolves ? not just technically, but culturally too. If you?ve been thinking ?I want more say in how things are done,? this is your moment.

What you?ll be doing:

• Leading and mentoring a team of frontend engineers (currently five, all React-focused)
• Setting standards and driving technical quality
• Shaping the direction of the frontend stack and tooling
• Conducting 1:1s, setting goals, supporting growth
• Staying hands-on with code ? you?re not just overseeing, you?re contributing
• Collaborating with backend teams, Product, and UX to deliver at scale

What you?ll need:

• Solid experience with modern React (ideally v18 or above)
• Confidence leading a team ? Ideally with some Team Lead experience.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, tooling (Webpack, NPM), and version control (Git)
• A feel for clean UX and an eye for detail
• Comfortable in an Agile environment and happy to work iteratively
