Description
SUMMARY:
Golden Isles Medical, Inc DBA The Girlfriend Doctor, a fast-growing women's health and wellness business, is seeking a highly skilled Shopify/Web Developer to work closely with our marketing and tech team to enhance, optimize, and scale our e-commerce website and sales funnels. This role will focus on improving the customer journey, increasing conversion rates, and ensuring frictionless user experiences across Shopify and Click Funnels.
Reporting to the Senior Web Developer / Tech Manager, this role requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify infrastructure, implementing A/B testing strategies, managing integrations, and ensuring technical solutions align with business growth objectives. The selected candidate will be able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and support team objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
WEB DEVELOPMENT & OPTIMIZATION
Work with the Tech Manager and Marketing Team to:
? Build and overhaul landing pages, sales pages, product pages, user experiences, and campaign assets.
? Convert design mockups and specifications (Figma, Photoshop) into responsive HTML/CSS/Liquid for Shopify, Click Funnels, and WordPress.
? Measure funnel effectiveness and optimize conversion rates.
? Optimize Shopify checkout flow, cart pages, and post-purchase sequences to reduce friction and boost AOV.
? Develop and integrate lead capture elements, such as signup forms, quizzes, and contact forms.
? Deploy promotions, for personalized discounts, upsells, and promotions. Test and maintain existing promo tools and assist the Tech Manager in improving and implementing new tools.
? Test and adjust pages for:
- cross-device compatibility
- viewport responsiveness
- best practices for user accessibility (WCAG)
? Integrate third-party tools (Zapier, Klaviyo, Google Tag Manager) to improve automation and tracking.
? Maintain documentation of SOPs, custom solutions, tech stack, version control, and coding practices.
? Develop custom solutions based on marketing and technical needs for Shopify, Click Funnels, Affiliate Software , WordPress, and Membership Software
CONVERSION RATE OPTIMIZATION (CRO) & A/B TESTING
? Implement data-driven A/B tests on landing pages, CTA placements, checkout flows, and conversion funnels to drive conversion rate optimization (CRO).
? Optimize customer journey and UX to reduce checkout abandonment and increase LTV.
? Improve Shopify theme performance and mobile responsiveness for higher conversion rates.
? Collaborate with the team to refi ne off er sequences and post-purchase flows for a seamless Customer Experience.
? Execute strategies to increase site-wide conversion rates and engagement.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT & CROSS-DEPARTMENT COLLABORATION
? Respond to and troubleshoot technical issues, collaborating with the team to quickly resolve site bugs and ensure a seamless shopping experience.
? Manage and maintain Shopify integrations with tools such as Recharge Subscriptions, warehouse software, Klaviyo, affiliate software, and Zapier.
? Implement and improve event tracking, customer segmentation, and personalization integrations (Klaviyo, Google Tag Manager, Refersion) to enhance user experience and marketing automation.
? Actively participate in team meetings, collaborate with various departments, and provide insights on technical and functional website improvements.
SEO / AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
? Monitor and implement improvements on-page, and site-wide, to improve organic search rankings.
? Apply best practices for SEO/AEO optimization and ensure our website offers a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers.
? Monitor SEO tools (SEMrush, Search Console) and fi x content errors (broken links, 404 pages, etc)
? Optimize images, code, third-party apps, and mobile responsiveness to enhance site speed and user experience on all devices.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
? 3-5 years of hands-on Shopify development experience, including Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
? Experience with Shopify Plus admin, settings, and apps.
? Prefer experience with Shopify CLI, Git, and API integrations.
? Strong understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and CRO best practices.
? Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for effective collaboration in a remote team setup.
? Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize site performance, and implement automation tools.
? Highly organized with strong time management skills, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on deadline in a fast-paced environment.
? Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
? Strong technical expertise with a commitment to staying updated on evolving trends and best practices.
? Experience with project management and communication tools (Asana, Slack, Google Suite).
? Demonstrates professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with the CEO, leadership, and team members.
