Location: UK or Lisbon (Hybrid/Remote)

Salary: £70k

We are looking for Senior Full Stack Engineers to help build and scale our client?s platform. This is more than just a technical role?it?s an opportunity to create and maintain a system that enables real-world connections and helps people find their place in the world.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform that allows thousands of communities to grow and thrive.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies.
  • Expertise in PHP (Laravel), TypeScript, JavaScript (Next.js), and MySQL.
  • Experience with mobile app development (Flutter) or willingness to learn and contribute to the mobile codebase.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Passion for building products that improve real-life human connection and solve loneliness.
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to translate user feedback into actionable improvements.
  • Use location-based features and integrations to enhance the community-building experience.
  • Continuously improve and refactor code to ensure our client?s platform remains fast, stable, and easy to maintain.
  • Leverage AWS and other cloud technologies to optimize infrastructure for cost and performance.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose new features or systems to keep uur client on the cutting edge.
  • Work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team that includes product, design, and engineering.
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high code quality.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with event-based platforms, community-driven products, or social apps.
  • Knowledge of API design and integration with third-party services like Strava, Playtomic, or payment systems.
  • Familiarity with AI, data analytics, or machine learning to optimize user engagement and platform growth.
