Award winning publishing and event management company Barcadia Media are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our exciting and forward-thinking team. If you want to work as part of a young, driven and dynamic team, changing the status quo of corporate digital news publishing and in person events - then weve got the job for you Youll be joining our development team as we go through a period of huge growth and your experience and technical knowledge will be key in translating business requirements into streamlined, efficient development projects, whilst identifying new ways to improve what we do. A keen interest in new development technologies is key for the role. Initially youll be getting your hands dirty improving our extensive digital portfolio including our portfolio websites, event management CRM, digital news publications, awards programme websites and plenty of other things. Once you have gotten to grips with our existing technologies you will be involved of the production and rollout of lots of exciting new development projects after your 3-month training period, which includes the development of a brand new digital news site for our leading brand. Essential Experience 2 years experience working with PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks) Great all-around knowledge of Vue and the proper usage of its features. HTML/CSS/Javascript (Tailwind is a plus) Database knowledge (MySQL) Version Control (GitHub) Useful Experience Integrating APIs such as Stripe, Mailchimp. Planning & writing specifications for new projects Experience of hosting through Digital Ocean/AWS or similar. Experience with Front-end testing, such as Dusk Queueing Jobs in Laravel, using Tools like Telescope/Horizon Experience with Inertia JS Experience with a CSS framework such as TailwindCSS.
