Web Developer

Freemind Seattle is looking for a skilled full-time Web Developer to work remotely from California, Oregon, or Washington State.

Your primary responsibility will be designing and implementing custom JavaScript and CSS enhancements and custom interfaces for a web-based platform. You should have a strong understanding of the Java programming language, excellent problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities:

• Develop user interfaces, business logic, and server-side components for web applications using Java
• Collaborate with the design team to implement UI/UX best practices
• Ensure websites adhere to strict design specifications and are visually appealing
• Conduct software system testing and validation procedures, and modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance
• Integrate digital marketing principles and strategies into web development projects
• Coordinate with other team members to implement new features and fix software issues
• Consult with key stakeholders on project status and technical issues
• Keep up with current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education

• Create marketing visual assets based on key product features, scenarios, personas, and scripted interactions
• Produce high-quality supporting visuals to emphasize key product features and messages
• Collaborate with UX Designers to update and create Figma assets and prototypes
• Ensure all assets align with design guidelines and style guides
• Work in a V-Team with Subject Matter Experts, Copywriters, and Scriptwriters to support the creation of required scenario-based assets such as documents, images, and other content
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and accuracy of designs and content through the demo lifecycle
• Create high-quality demo assets by utilizing demo creation platform tools
• Other supplementary duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• An ability to make technical trade-offs, considering both the technical and the business needs, and deliver solutions with a sense of urgency

• Understanding of the use of compelling storytelling as a marketing tool is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Visual Studio, Teams, Microsoft Office, Windows

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines without direct supervision

Education/Experience:

• Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in front-end web development
• Bachelor's degree in Applied Computing, Computer Science, or a related field
• Certifications: Relevant Web Development certifications are a plus
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with design tools and platforms like Figma, Github, Azure
• Knowledge of server-side languages (e.g., PHP, Node.js) is a plus
