Role Description
This is a remote volunteer position for a Full Stack Web Developer. The Full Stack Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end of web applications. The developer will work alongside a team of developers and will be expected to participate in regular meetings and code reviews.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of backend web development concepts, architectures, and technologies such as Node.js, Django, Flask, and SQL/NoSQL Databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure, and serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of Web Services, RESTful and SOAP APIs, and API integration technologies such as Postman and Swagger.
- Expertise in version control systems such as Git and knowledge of agile methodologies.
- Good understanding of frontend web development languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, React, and Angular.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work collaboratively with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
