Full Stack Developer (PHP / WordPress / Laravel) - £30k to £35k

If you?re a dynamic, driven individual with strong technical knowledge and a passion for web development, and learning, then our fully-remote Full Stack Developer role could be the right fit for you. We?re Right Hook Studio, a growing team of digital marketers and web developers supporting trades and healthcare companies across the UK.

The salary is £30K for anyone with limited knowledge and experience, through to £35k for more knowledgeable candidates. Salary reviews are conducted yearly, and commission and paid overtime are available at your manager?s discretion.

The job closes on 30th April: we are looking for a fast turnaround, so successful applicants will be invited to a short phone call, followed by a quick task prior to the final interview.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining scalable web applications and internal tools using Laravel.
• Developing custom WordPress themes for client sites.
• Working on SaaS platforms from MVP to production-ready state.
• Creating dynamic, interactive frontend components with Blade, Alpine.js or Vue.js.
• Collaborating with a small, friendly team of developers.

Skills Needed:

• Solid experience with PHP, especially using Laravel.
• Proven skills in WordPress development, including theme development.
• Proficiency in any JS framework (Alpine.js or Vue.js desired).
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS (with Tailwind), and responsive design.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and Git-based workflows.
• A problem-solver who?s comfortable with both product and client-driven work.

Nice To Haves:

• Knowledge of CI/CD, or deployment pipelines.
• A good UX sense or frontend design intuition.
• Automated testing
