Founding Software Engineer

BioprocessAI is an early-stage startup on a mission to bring AI driven innovation to the bio pharma industry, transforming manufacturing, quality management, and regulatory compliance to make drug development faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We?re looking for a Founding Engineer to help drive our product and engineering forward. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who wants to help shape not just the technology, but the team and company itself. You'll work closely with the founding team, own core systems end-to-end, and play a pivotal role in scaling the platform.

What You?ll Do

• Architect and build scalable full-stack systems.
• Drive AI/ML strategy, integrating advanced AI capabilities into our platform.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes-based and serverless deployments in a hybrid cloud environment .
• Optimize for performance, security, and reliability while ensuring the product is cloud-native and cost-efficient.
• Shape the engineering culture, technical roadmap, and company strategy as a core member of the leadership team.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience architecting, building, and scaling SaaS products
• 8+ years of strong experience in React (Redux, MUI, Storybook, NextJS etc.), CSS (Material/Tailwind, Chakra, etc.)
• 8+ years of strong hands-on full-stack development experience in Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus) and Python
• Proven ability to design and scale cloud-native architectures, including container technologies, micro-services, server-less and event-driven systems.
• Built and optimized solutions using SQL, NoSQL, vector, and graph databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• A track record of leading AI/ML initiatives, with expertise in AI model deployment, fine-tuning, and integration into SaaS platforms.
• Strong background in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability stacks.
• A bias for action and a startup mindset?you?re comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating fast.
