About The Role We?re looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our portfolio of high-traffic WordPress websites. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across our engineering and product teams, contributing to both technical decisions and product execution. The ideal candidate has deep WordPress expertise, a sharp eye for performance, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and security.
- Build custom themes and plugins with a focus on best practices and long-term maintainability.
- Optimize front-end performance and implement SEO improvements, including Core Web Vitals enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Collaborate with engineering and product team members to deliver high-quality features aligned with business needs.
- Work with Git-based workflows and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and issues across staging and production environments.
- Coordinate with DevOps to manage hosting, caching, and CDN strategies.
- Stay current with the latest WordPress developments, plugin ecosystem, and modern web technologies.
- Develop and maintain third-party integrations to extend website functionality.
About You - 4+ years of experience in web development, with a primary focus on WordPress.
- Deep knowledge of WordPress core, architecture, REST API, and block development.
- Proven experience creating custom themes and plugins.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, including caching, CDNs, and SEO best practices.
