**About the Role:**TCI Group is hiring a Back-End Developer with CMS expertise to support the architecture, database integration, and system functionality of a municipal history-focused website. You?ll be responsible for building a user-friendly CMS for staff use, integrating backend logic, and ensuring site reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities:- Develop and configure a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS)
- Implement server-side logic and application features to support dynamic content
- Integrate with client-supplied hosting or configure secure hosting environments
- Manage APIs and database structure (if applicable)
- Maintain and document backend system architecture
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
- Ensure secure, stable, and compliant codebase
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in back-end web development
- Proficiency in languages like PHP, Python, or Node.js
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or custom CMS solutions)
- Familiarity with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Strong understanding of web security best practices
- Experience with hosting environments, backups, and uptime monitoring
Preferred:- Experience with public-sector or grant-funded website projects
- Knowledge of security protocols for municipal or government websites
- Understanding of ADA accessibility from a CMS/backend perspective
