Team Lead (Europe Remote)
Description
BnBerry is a travel tech company that helps hotels and resorts reach more guests and improve their guest experience. Our solution lets hotel businesses to easily list and manage their properties on Airbnb and VRBO, increasing occupancy rates and delivering exceptional guest experiences?all while maximizing their booking potential.
The new hire will join our BnBerry for Landlords team, building a new solution tailored for Individual Hosts and Landlords who want to put their vacation rental business on autopilot and drive more bookings effortlessly.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on for around 50% of the time, removing roadblocks and helping with more complex projects and issues
- Foster team ownership and accountability
- Collaborate closely with tech leadership and work hand-in-hand with your product counterpart
- Participate in triaging features and support requests from other teams
- Perform code reviews, coach/mentor engineers
- Consistently work to deliver reliable, performant, well-tested code with a strong focus on simplicity
- Monitor & resolve issues on production (performance, errors etc)
- Run Scrum ceremonies
Requirements - Proactive and achievement-oriented leader
- 7+ years of development expertise, with 2+ years leading teams (Team Lead, or Engineering Manager)
- Proven experience managing and leading remote teams
- Deep knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and related technologies
- Strong command of Laravel/Symfony frameworks
- Proven ability to design and deliver impactful software solutions
- Deep understanding of development lifecycle, spanning frontend, backend, testing, and CI/CD
- Strong grasp of reliable architecture fundamentals
- Advanced understanding of software principles, including OOP, SOLID, and Design Patterns
- Skilled with development tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Fluent English communication skills
