A publicly traded leader in technology and manufacturing is seeking an Assistant Controller ? Global Operations to join its innovative and fast-paced environment. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial performance, maintaining compliance with rigorous standards, and supporting the company?s ambitious growth objectives. Primary Duties:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to oversee global accounting functions and enhance financial outcomes.
- Manage areas including financial reporting, compliance, revenue assurance, and operational consolidation.
- Conduct in-depth accounting research and policy reviews, addressing topics like revenue recognition, lease accounting, and acquisition integration.
- Play an integral role in merger and acquisition activities, including due diligence, financial disclosures, and audit integration.
- Provide critical support for corporate financial closings and the preparation of consolidated reports.
- Facilitate smooth external audit processes and ensure all inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Partner with internal audit teams to maintain effective risk assessments and control structures.
- Work across departments such as Tax, Treasury, and HR to align on accounting guidance and corporate initiatives.
- Support the Controller and CFO with key strategic analyses and projects as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in finance or accounting
- CPA required
- Must have public accounting/Big4 experience
- Strong operational accounting experience within a publicly traded organization
- Proven ability to lead international teams
- Technical accounting knowledge preferred
- Demonstrated success in financial analysis, budget planning, and mitigating risks for global operations
- Familiarity with financial systems like Oracle, Essbase, or Hyperion
- Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking skills to address challenges in a dynamic business environment
Location: option to work 100% remote, or hybrid in one of their office locations (Phoenix, San Jose, or DC metro)
Compensation: $180,000-$220,000 base salary + 25% bonus and equity
