Position Overview

Our client is hiring a strategic and technically accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technology organization. This individual will play a central role in developing the platform?s technical vision, building and scaling core systems, and managing the engineering function. This is an executive-level opportunity for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in AI and fintech to directly shape the future of a high-impact digital platform.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in machine learning, scalable system design, and fintech innovation. They will have the ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels guiding product architecture while also contributing directly to development when needed. This role is remote, but candidates must be based in the United States and available to collaborate across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company?s technical direction in alignment with strategic business goals.
• Oversee the architecture, development, and delivery of AI-driven financial solutions.
• Ensure the platform?s infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Promote strong cybersecurity practices and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate technology with broader organizational strategy.
• Lead, grow, and mentor a distributed engineering team, fostering innovation and accountability.
• Cultivate partnerships with external tech vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support technical diligence efforts related to investments, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated success in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering) within a fintech or software-driven financial services company.
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML technologies and experience applying them to product development in finance, investment, or data-driven platforms.
• Proven ability to manage and scale technical teams in distributed, remote-first environments.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to navigate high-growth, early-stage company dynamics.
• Deep familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Solid experience with API-based architectures and modern software development practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Graduate degrees in AI, Data Science, or similar areas are a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Previous experience with startup fundraising platforms or building tools for the investment ecosystem.
