About the Role

We?re looking for a Junior Developer to join our growing team at a mission-driven government and healthcare consulting firm. In this role, you'll support the development of low-code applications using Oracle APEX, enhance user interfaces and workflows, and contribute to data-driven solutions that have a real impact on public programs and healthcare systems.

This is a flexible, remote role that?s especially well-suited for students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals looking to gain real-world experience and strengthen their resume.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle APEX applications.
• Write SQL and PL/SQL code to support application logic and data access.
• Implement frontend components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS within the APEX framework.
• Participate in requirement gathering, testing, debugging, and documentation efforts.
• Work in Agile development setting
• Ability to commit to 2-week sprints (~10 hrs per week)

Skills

• Strong experience with PL/SQL and SQL
• Understanding of relational database design and principles.
• Working knowledge in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Experience with Web App development and ability to troubleshoot and debug web applications.
• Effective communicator and team player.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RESTful web services and API integration.
• Figma, UI/UX principles, web accessibility standards
• Exposure to Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle APEX or other low-code platforms.
