Qualifications
About the Role:
We?re building a backend system using Supabase for a fast-growing startup in the business finance space. You?ll work directly with the founder and be given the freedom (and responsibility) to architect and implement scalable backend systems. This is not a hand-over-a-spec-sheet job?this is for someone who wants to build as we go, solve problems in real time, and take ownership.
What You?ll Do:
? Build backend infrastructure using Supabase
? Design and implement secure APIs, RLS policies, and authentication flows
? Help integrate file uploads, document storage, and automated workflows
? Own the backend post-launch (with compensation once live)
? Collaborate directly with the founder and other team members
What We?re Looking For:
? Working knowledge of Supabase (or strong motivation to learn it quickly)
? Comfortable with SQL, Postgres, and basic backend logic
? Willingness to figure things out, troubleshoot bugs, and iterate fast
? No degree required?your code and attitude are what matter
? Bonus: experience with GitHub, Lovable.dev, or integrations with third-party APIs like Plaid
