Job Title: PHP Engineer - Remote Department: IDX Broker
Reports to: Director of Engineering FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated PHP Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and services. You?ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support our business objectives and enhance the user experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise in PHP and cloud infrastructure, capable of owning tasks from concept to deployment in a fast paced, agile environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to understand initiatives and implement features
- Write well-designed, testable, readable, and scalable code following clean code principles and team standards
- Take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion
- Contribute to software deployment and track product progress throughout its lifecycle
- Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery
- Participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions to generate high quality ideas
- Share knowledge proactively and continuously improve engineering practices
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical expertise and full-stack programming skills with a focus in PHP
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud
- Passion for engineering best practices like continuous delivery and automated testing
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms (e.g., JSON Web Token)
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proficiency with Git
Nice To Haves:
? Familiarity with GKE or Kubernetes
? Experience with Terraform and Docker
? Elasticsearch experience
? Experience with Vue.js
? Familiarity with Agile methodologies
? Experience using Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence
? Experience in the real estate industry or with MLS data
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
· Five or more years of development experience, or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience
Physical Requirements:
? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
? Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
