We are looking for a Senior Back-end Developer with strong Laravel experience to join a remote team building a high-end platform. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in the UK (or UK Timezone +/- 2 hours).

This is an exciting oppotunity to join a growing Tech Team in a Senior Developer role. There is lots of opportunity for development and progression!

The Role

You?ll be working on a web and app-based platform, playing a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems. The focus is on scalability, performance, and clean code and this is a team that values high-quality engineering.

What you?ll be doing

Developing and maintaining backend systems in PHP (Laravel)
Designing and optimising REST APIs
Ensuring high performance and responsiveness
Managing databases, working with MySQL and PostgreSQL
Following SOLID principles and using design patterns
Writing clean, maintainable code

What we?re looking for

Extensive PHP development experience
Laravel expertise
Deep understanding of REST API concepts
Knowledge if database management systems such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
Familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles
Passion for writing clean, scalable, maintainable code
Experience of building projects from scratch
Candidates who can take ownership of builds
Any experience with implementing integrations with hotel booking engines would be a huge bonus!

2nd stage ? Take home Tech Challenge

Final stage ? Video interview with CTO, CPO and a Lead Developer
